Welcome to our 3rd Annual Summer Learning Academy! This year’s academy is being held at King Elementary Children’s Center for Engineering on Green Bay’s southwest side.
Please make sure to sign up for sessions you wish to attend by clicking on the radio button to the left of the session title. Be sure to sign up for all LUNCH sessions you plan on attending so we make sure to have enough food for all attendees. Water will be provided, please bring your own drink if you prefer something else. Lunch will be provided FREE of charge thanks to our generous sponsors, Classlink Launchpad and the Wisconsin Technology Initiative (WTI). You’re also welcome to bring your own lunch.
Please bring your own device if you have one. District devices will be limited.
Work time provided for follow up from previous session.
Teachers will get a hands-on, practical tour of the new resource curation tool, Destiny Collections. We will learn how to gather book titles from our district library collections, websites, videos, and more into this digital platform and then learn how to share their Collections with colleagues and students. Participants are asked to identify a unit of study that they wish to create and bring resources related to that unit to support their planning. (Lucy Calkins books, EiE curriculum guides, etc...) Teams are encouraged to sign up together for a fun hour of planning and hands-on work!
